KYGO

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, commonly known by his stage name Kygo, is a Norwegian musician and remixer. He is best known for his remix of the track “I See Fire”, which has been played 14.3 million times on Soundcloud and around 40 million times on YouTube. The remix entered Romania’s Top 40 and has remained there for 14 weeks, peaking at Number 2 as of June 3rd, 2014. Kygo has accumulated over 80 million views on his music on Soundcloud and YouTube. After a break-through in 2014, he was asked by Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin to create a remix for the song “Midnight”.

Kygo started to learn to play the piano at age six through lessons. He decided to have a go at remixes and creating electronic music after discovering Avicii at age 15-16. After receiving over 80 million hits on YouTube and Soundcloud, Kygo was contacted by both Avicii and Chris Martin of Coldplay to create official remixes of one of the artists’ songs. He is also warmed up for Avicii at Findings Festival in Oslo, Norway in 2014. On September 19th 2014, it was confirmed that Kygo was to replace Avicii at main stage in TomorrowWorld, due to Avicii’s health concerns.

Kygo is also set to play various events in North America, and some of the shows have already been sold out. He also got a feature interview in the official Billboard magazine, where he talked about his remixes for Diplo and Coldplay, and talked about his upcoming tour in North America.

In July 2014, Kygo partnered with EDM lifestyle brand Electric Family to produce a collaboration bracelet for which 100% of the proceeds are donated to breast cancer awareness. – Wikipedia
