Ethel M Chocolates is celebrating “National Chocolate Day” with a grand reopening celebration of its factory and flagship store in Henderson. The event will begin with a proclamation ceremony, which will include remarks from Ethel M and Opportunity Village representatives, and a proclamation announcing Oct. 28 as Ethel M Day from Councilwoman Gerri Schroder. The event will be at 10 am.
The day will be filled with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, raffles and prizes, chocolate samplings, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on custom Ethel M Chocolate boxes created by Las Vegas’ top entertainers including Terry Fator, Anthony Cools and the cast of Absinthe. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Opportunity Village.
Admission to the event is free and open to the public. There is a fee of $19.99 for guests who are interested in participating in the all-new Chocolate Tasting Room Experience. In partnership with Three Square and Help of Southern Nevada, guests can also bring a non-perishable food donation or a new toy donation to receive their four-pack of tickets to the holiday lighting ceremony on Nov. 15.
About Ethel M Chocolates
Just outside of Las Vegas in the arid Nevada desert is an unexpected oasis of fresh-crafted, gourmet chocolates. At Ethel M Chocolates, you will find deliciously fresh chocolates produced by their passionate Mars associates (and family!)
Inspired by the kitchen of Ethel Mars (which date back to 1910), Forrest Mars Sr. created Ethel M Chocolates in his mother’s honor. Using her timeless recipes, Forrest’s vision of sharing fresh-crafted, small-batch, premium chocolates was born.
Located in the heat and the heart of the desert, Forrest went to extraordinary lengths to produce our unique chocolates and fillings at his factory so that the quality of the chocolates would never be compromised. The craftsmanship and care required to create each batch of Ethel M Chocolates unchanged. Their gourmet fillings and decadent chocolates are infused with a precise blend of love, art and science, and the result is always something magical.
Today, Ethel M Chocolates are still made in small batches with no preservatives, using only the freshest and finest ingredients. Experience their specialty premium chocolates for yourself. Enjoy! Learn more on their website, www.ethelm.com.
