ABOUT COMMONWEALTH

Recently named “Best Las Vegas Cocktail Bar of the Year” in the 2014 Nightlife & Bar Awards and one of the “7 New Reasons to Hit Las Vegas,” by the New York Post, Commonwealth brings a stylish new social scene to the burgeoning bar district in Downtown Las Vegas. The swanky 6,000-square-foot cocktail bar is a collision of art and architectural influences inspired by pre-Prohibition era design and libations. Crystal chandeliers bring a touch of elegance to the overall design, which evokes a worn, industrial ambiance. The cocktail menu combines classic and progressive methods and ingredients to offer drinks like, “Men in Tights” and “Little Hot Mess,” that make an indelible impression. Commonwealth is complete with its very own backroom speakeasy, The Laundry Room, which was recently included in Playboy’s “Best Bars 2014” list in addition to being named ‘Best Cocktail Bar of the Year’ by Nightclub & Bar Media Group. This discrete room provides an intimate setting featuring a boozeologist and drink menu independent of the main bar with a very exclusive admission process providing a focus on the guests and a great attention to detail on their cocktails. A rooftop bar offers an experiential setting with an urban brick feel and 360-degree views of downtown. Located at 525 E. Fremont St., Commonwealth is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to close. More information is available by calling 702.798.7000, at their website, on Facebook, and on Twitter.

ABOUT CORNER BAR MANAGEMENT GROUP

Corner Bar Management Group was founded in December 2012 with the opening of Commonwealth, a pre-Prohibition cocktail style bar on 525 E. Fremont St. in Downtown Las Vegas. The bar was quickly recognized as one of “7 New Reasons to Hit Las Vegas” by the New York Post and its speak-easy, The Laundry Room, was recently named “Best Cocktail Bar of the Year” by Nightclub & Bar and among Playboy’s “Best Bars of 2014.” Shortly following the success of Commonwealth, Park on Fremont opened in March 2013 down the block at 506 E. Fremont St. A popular neighborhood bar and restaurant, Park on Fremont is widely known for its distinctive, whimsical design, handcrafted cocktails, and laid-back menu. Last fall, Corner Bar introduced two new concepts: Due & Proper and Whist, both located in The District at Green Valley Ranch. In spring 2015, Corner Bar opened Itsy Bitsy: Ramen and Whisky, a Japanese-style tavern at the base of The Ogden in Downtown Las Vegas. The group also recently acquired Inspire Theater, located at the corner of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Blvd. All of Corner Bar’s projects are art, mixology, and design forward. Corner Bar Management Group is a partnership between Ryan Doherty and Justin Weniger, along with varying partnerships among the different venues.
