Brunch is getting some Baja spice in Downtown Las Vegas with the introduction of a Saturday and Sunday brunch at La Comida.
La Comida is Michael and Jenna Morton’s fun and funky Mexican eatery at 100 S. Sixth St. Starting this weekend, La Comida will offer brunch from 9 am to 3 pm every Saturday and Sunday.
“Nothing says Las Vegas weekend quite like mimosas and margaritas,” said Michael Morton. “La Comida’s new brunch brings them together and with little spice.

The Ranchero Bowl
- Filled with seasoned potatoes, pinto beans, rice, chorizo, and jalapeño bacon, It’s topped with a sunny-side-up egg, fresh guacamole, and pico de Gallo. Priced at $16.
A Mexican-inspired eggs Benedict
- Made with a poached egg and ham, is topped with a chipotle hollandaise to bring a little heat. Priced at $16.
The Pan Francés
- Cereal-crusted French toast topped with bananas Foster. Priced at $16.
How about the Brunch Cocktail Menu?
The refreshing brunch cocktail menu matches the vibrant flavors of Chef Mario Garcia’s masterfully created dishes. They use fresh ingredients and juices, including a twist on the classic bloody mary.
The Bloody Maria
- Made with jalapeño-infused tequila and a house mix then garnished with a Tajín rim. Priced at $13.
Cafesito
- An espresso shot with Licor 43, a Spanish liqueur made with 43 botanicals and aromatics and topped with whipped cream. Priced at $13.
Bottomless Mimosa
- Served with a variety of fresh fruit juices including papaya and prickly pear. Priced at $26 per person.
La Comida’s cuisine is inspired by the cosmopolitan flavors of Mexico City. Their dishes are made with traditional cooking methods and ingredients.
Prepared by Chef Garcia, lunch and dinner favorites include:
- Carne asada, made with cucumber, radish, charred red onion, and aji Amarillo dressing
- Classic pozole, made with hominy, pork, onion, shredded cabbage, and radish
- Chicken tamales made with tomatillo, sour cream, and house-made slaw
La Comida’s tacos are:
- Sea bass a la Baja, tempura battered and served with house-made slaw, chipotle mayo, pickled radish, and pico de gallo
- Al pastor, made with guajillo pork, pineapple, guacatillo salsa, onion and cilantro
House specialties include:
- Puerco adobado, smoked pork shoulder with adobado sauce and pickled onion
- Chili relleno, a battered stuffed poblano pepper, queso fresco, ranchera sauce, cilantro and jalapeno cream

La Comida is open for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday.
In addition, the cantina is open for brunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
