Danny DeMarco’s experience at a local butcher shop and a career as a food and beverage director make him the perfect person to run a barbecue joint. On Thursday, November 13 at 11 a.m., DeMarco will open the first Dickeys Barbecue Pit in Fullerton with a three-day grand opening celebration.
The festivities kick off with the first 50 guests receiving gift cards worth up to $50.

On Friday, guests can grab Dickeys Barbecue gear with all-day merchandise giveaways. On Saturday, radio station K-EARTH 101 will be on-site from noon to 2 p.m. One lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners receive free barbecue for an entire year. Guests can feed their barbecue cravings with $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches.
DeMarco holds a hospitality degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
