Whispering Giants Private Preview Weekend at Rumor Las Vegas

Let me first apologize for not getting this out sooner. It has been one hectic, but FUN past week. James Foster of Whispering Giants, the same guy who invited me on that whirlwind party hop to LA and back in the same night, invited me to join 150 other movers and shakers to the Whispering Giants private preview weekend at Rumor Las Vegas. The other invited guests came mostly from Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but same came as far away as San Francisco.

There were plenty of things for myself and the other guests to do during our stay. Since we were encouraged to stay the whole weekend at the hotel, a variety of activities were planned for us, i.e. two hosted cocktail parties, two late night poolside parties, one daytime pool party, and even yoga at sunrise. I enjoyed the parties, but opted out of the yoga, at least for now. 🙂

Rumor Las Vegas is located where the old St. Tropez hotel once was. Don’t know where that is? It’s directly across from the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. Why is that convenient? Well, there is no gaming on the Rumor Hotel property. So, if you’re a gambler, excitement is directly across Harmon Avenue. Of course, Hard Rock has other things as well, such as restaurants, a spa, and The Joint concert venue. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Hard Rock, but still want to be close, booking your next stay at Rumor Las Vegas is a sure bet.

I have to say, I like what was done to the property. Everything from the rooms, the bar, pool area, and even the paint of the building has a very fresh look. The buzz going around was that the hotel was very reminiscent of Miami. Every room had a balcony, with half of the rooms facing out toward the street or looking at Hard Rock Hotel, while the other half faced in toward the pool area. Or, maybe I should say, backyard area, as that’s what it felt like. Not only were there cabanas and day beds surrounding the pool area, but there was a huge grass area with a DJ, bars, and several hammocks to lounge around in. Hammocks are a hot commodity, so get one early. The hosted pool parties really felt like, especially with knowing a lot of the guests, a huge house pool party. Which is definitely a distinct look compared to other pool parties in Las Vegas.

My room was awesome. The bed was super comfortable, which is something imperative to me when staying in any hotel. My bed at home is awesome, so I expect nothing less in hotels I visit, hahaha. My room had a large jacuzzi tub that looked onto the bedroom. Which made it quite convenient when exiting the tub to hop right into bed. The furniture was modern and had an unmatched look but went well together. I really liked the bathroom area, with it’s rainfall shower head and awesome skin and hair care products. Everyday was a holiday on my ‘staycation’ at Rumor Las Vegas.

Thank you again to James Foster of Whispering Giants for the invitation, the entire staff at Rumor Las Vegas for making my stay more pleasurable, and my friends and colleagues that made the preview weekend superb. I look forward to staying at Rumor Las Vegas again soon.
