Las Vegas Fashion Council Raises More Than $15,000 At Fourth Annual artLIVE!

The Las Vegas Fashion Council’s (LVFC) fourth annual artLIVE! event on Friday raised more than $15,000 to benefit the LVFC’s scholarship fund in an effort to support emerging student artists and designers.

Ten one-of-a-kinds “painted ladies” made their debut at Zappos in downtown Las Vegas where a collective of local artists donated their time and talents to create custom hand-painted mannequins which were auctioned off during the event.

Courtney Perna from Channel 8’s “Las Vegas Now” served as the fashionable master of ceremonies, guiding guests through the evening’s festivities which included live music by DJ Jamal, cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres provided by Zappos, live body painting by Skin City Body Painting, sand art demonstration by Teresa Kae of The Quicksand Art and live student designer fashion show. Guests bid on a variety of silent auction items provided by brands including Kendra Scott, Alexander McQueen, Yves St. Laurent, Neiman Marcus, Vegas Golden Knights, Hermes, David Yurman and more.

“Tonight was truly a testament to the fact that fashion is art,” said LVFC President Carrie Cooper. “We’re honored to bring together so many talented individuals in support of our local fashion and art community who will continue to bring this vision to life through their creations.”

Local artists Pete Castro, Haley Fonfa, Lil Art Bodega artists – M!SCRE8, The Stencil Artista, Snipt Art, RuthyJane Art, Kathryn Gilbert and Joy Snyder contributed to the event along with featured designers, including New Vintage Handbags, Desiree Ianconetti-Aneonnova, Pirouette, Nessa Apostol – Napostol, Pavel Pakhomovn-Veli and LVFC student design competition winners.
