Hakkasan Nightclub Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary With an Unforgettable Week of Events
This past week (Thursday, April 5- Sunday, April 8) Hakkasan Nightclub inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino marked a major milestone as the premier venue celebrated its five-year anniversary.
The four-night affair treated partygoers to an unforgettable series of events to commemorate the special occasion.
Lil Jon kicked off the festivities with a special anniversary edition of “About Last Night” on Thursday, April 5. The jam-packed crowd was treated to an energetic set from the “Get Low” rapper, complete with plenty of shots to go around. In the middle of the electrified set, partygoers were shocked when a Michael Jackson impersonator jumped on top of the DJ booth to perform several of the late popstar’s greatest hits, while flawlessly executing some of the legendary singer’s signature dance moves. The special surprise served as the perfect way to kick off the anniversary events.
The following night, electronic dance artist NGHTMRE continued the celebrations with an unforgettable set. On Saturday, April 7, Hakkasan NIghtclub welcomed back the Godfather of EDM himself, Tiësto. The anniversary celebrations were in full effect, as the iconic artist took over the turntables to deliver a memorable performance. During his high-energy set, the hitmaker was presented with a custom plaque and six-tiered black and white cake in honor of the momentous occasion by Hakkasan Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Nick McCabe.
Additionally, partygoers went wild as fellow resident DJ Martin Garrix made a surprise appearance behind the DJ booth to assist with Tiësto’s set. Garrix, who was in town to perform during WET REPUBLIC Ultra Pool’s grand opening weekend, pumped up the crowd as Tiësto spun his chart-topping beats. The action-packed weekend concluded Sunday, April 8, with Illenium leading the party and keeping the energy high until the early hours of the morning.
