The Boss Cafe will join la famiglia of Buddy V’s Ristorante, Carlo’s Bakery, PizzaCake, and Jersey Eats. You’ll find casual, to-go dining capturing the savory and sweet side of the famed New Jersey chef and restaurateur.

What kind of food does The Boss Cafe serve?

The Boss Cafe features a variety of fresh-baked bread, sandwiches, pizza, a house-made fresh mozzarella bar, sweets, and pastries. The menu is inspired by the neighborhood delis and markets in New Jersey and New York.

At The Boss Cafe, it’s all about the Mozz (pronounced Mutz!, hand gesture optional). The highlight of the restaurant is the Mozz Bar.

Guests can grab their favorite fresh mozzarella creations served with warm rustic bread and their choice of toppings. Choose from basil pesto, roasted peppers, spicy peppers, and tomato-olive relish. As well as tomato, fresh basil, and aged balsamic.

Created by Valastro’s father-in-law and made fresh daily, the Mozz is on full display. You can find the Mozz on sandwiches and other menu items, made in an open kitchen by ‘Mutz Masters.’

What is the menu like at The Boss Cafe?

The menu at The Boss Cafe will offer casual Italian-American fare conceived by Valastro himself along with Corporate Executive Chef, Bryan Forgione.

Forgione recently joined Valastro on the restaurant group side, coming from Buddy V’s Ristorante where he ran the kitchen since opening in 2013.

The impressive menu will also feature different counters including House SaladsPop’s Panzanella, or the Hoboken Chop.

The Sandwich Counter has classics like the Hoboken Havana, Jersey Boy, Ma’s Chicken Milanese or Lisa’s Caprese served on fresh Jersey Focaccia.

The Nonna Style Pizza Squares feature the “bakery pizza” Buddy’s family pioneered in their famous bakery. It’s a thicker, yet light and fluffy, focaccia crust with a variety of options. You can choose Margherita, Italiano, and Chicken Parm.
