What is DashMart?

What is DashMart? It’s DoorDash’s own delivery only convenience store, a warehouse style shop that DoorDash owns, stocks, and runs. You can’t walk in and browse the aisles, but you can order its products through the DoorDash app and have them brought to your door. Some people write it as Dash Mart, but the official spelling is one word. If you spotted one on a map and wondered whether you could stop in, here’s what you need to know.

What Is DashMart? 5 Essential Facts

1. It’s a Delivery Only Store

DashMart may show up as a business on a map, but it works like a warehouse. There’s no storefront for shoppers, no checkout counter, and no customer pickup. Staff inside pack the orders, then a Dasher collects each one and delivers it.

2. DoorDash Owns and Runs It

Most of what you see in the DoorDash app comes from restaurants and outside retailers. DashMart is different. DoorDash owns the locations, decides what goes on the shelves, and employs the people who pack your order.

3. You Order Through the DoorDash App

There’s no separate DashMart app. Open the DoorDash app, enter your address, and look for DashMart under the Convenience or Grocery sections. It checks out like any other DoorDash order, and DoorDash support handles any problems.

4. Products Come From National Brands and Local Partners

So where does DashMart food come from? DoorDash sources its inventory from national brands and local merchant partners. The shelves carry everyday basics like snacks, drinks, household essentials, pet supplies, and personal care items. They also carry packaged goods from restaurants and small businesses, such as sauces, spice rubs, and baked treats. That means a restaurant’s retail products can reach customers who never set foot in the restaurant.

5. Availability Depends on Your Address

DashMart isn’t in every city, and each location only delivers within a local radius of its warehouse, typically a 10-15 minute drive. That’s why one neighbor sees DashMart items in the app while another doesn’t. The reliable check is to enter your exact address on DoorDash and see whether DashMart appears.

What to Expect When You Order

Ordering from DashMart feels like any other DoorDash order. You browse the DashMart section, add items to your cart, and check out. Then you track the order in the app while staff pack it and a Dasher heads over to pick it up. Expect a smaller, more curated selection than a full grocery store, since each location stocks what DoorDash chooses to carry. Prices and fees vary, so compare your total against other options before you commit.

DashMart works best for quick, small needs: snacks, household basics, pet supplies, or a packaged treat from a local restaurant. For a full weekly grocery run, a regular store or DoorDash’s standard grocery delivery will usually give you more to choose from.

DashMart in Las Vegas

DoorDash runs two DashMart warehouses in Las Vegas. One sits in the northwest part of the valley, and the other is in central Las Vegas, west of the Strip. Each one delivers to addresses within a short drive of its doors, so coverage depends on where you are. Parts of the valley, including Green Valley, fall outside both radii.

As a Las Vegas Dasher working the Green Valley zone, I’ve never picked up from a DashMart, because neither one serves my area. The same zone rule applies to drivers, so many Dashers will never see a DashMart pickup.

To see if your address qualifies, enter it on the DoorDash DashMart page for Las Vegas. If DashMart doesn’t show up, a nearby convenience store or pharmacy will usually be faster.
