Plans for an underground transportation system dubbed the Vegas Loop by the Boring Company have taken another step forward toward completion.

The special use permit and franchise agreement for the company’s loop system, which would include the resort corridor, were unanimously approved by the Clark County Commissioners during a meeting Wednesday morning.
What does that mean for Uber, Lyft, taxis, town cars, limos, shuttles, and even the RTC bus system? How about the monorail? Will it simply become a novelty, rather than a genuine mode of transportation? Only time will tell.

The Loop will include LVCC Loop and any future service extensions including those to casinos along the Strip, McCarran International Airport, Allegiant Stadium, downtown Las Vegas, and eventually to Los Angeles.
