Located in the heart of Las Vegas’ Chinatown, The Golden Tiki is a journey to another dimension, not only of sight and sound but of mind where boundaries are only limited to the imagination.
Since opening in 2015, The Golden Tiki continues to push the envelope and has racked up impressive accolades, including Food Network’s “Top 10 Tiki Bars in the US”, Thrillist’s “Best Themed Bars in Las Vegas,” and Culture Trip’s “10 Most Unique Bars in Las Vegas.”
About The Golden Tiki
The vision of hospitality veteran Branden Powers, in collaboration with Seth Schorr, Jeff Fine, and Joe Cain, The Golden Tiki has spared no expense in recreating the classic mid-century tiki bar, reminiscent of Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic’s storied establishments. Renowned artists including Tiki Bosko, Billy the Crud, Bill Collins, and Oceanic Arts have created the one-of-a-kind decor, including indoor waterfalls, deserted munitions hut, clamshell love seat to take “shellfies,” peek-a-boo fish tank, genuine unicorn horn, black velvet paintings, mummified mermaid, fertility idols, and even the skeleton of the mythical privateer and Golden Tiki icon, Captain William Tobias Faulkner (W.T.F. to his friends). Hunter S. Thompson’s bowie knife is also on display, a gift to Powers from Thompson’s family.
Enter the Headhunter Village to see the growing collection of famous shrunken heads, including Marky Ramone of The Ramones, Carrot Top, Frank Marino, Robin Leach, Norm Clarke, Claire Sinclair, magician Murray Sawchuck, Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie, Monti Rock III, Lonnie Hammargren, Rich Little, Piff the Magic Dragon and Mr. Piffles, and Tape Face.
The cocktail menu features nostalgic classics from the bars of Trader Vic and Don the Beachcomber as well as new creations, all using premium spirits such as Zacapa, Demerara, and Clement Agricole rums, Avua Cachaca, and Michter’s rye. A traditional Martinique ti service, classic punch bowls, and a special treasure chest VIP experience are also featured, along with a “Food of the Gods” menu, offering delicious bar bites inspired by The Golden Tiki legend.
