Ethel M Inspired by the kitchen of Ethel Mars (which dates back to 1910), Forrest Mars Sr. created Ethel M Chocolates in his mother’s honor. Using her timeless recipes, Forrest’s vision of sharing fresh-crafted, small-batch, premium chocolates was born.
Located in the heat and the heart of the desert, Forrest went to extraordinary lengths to produce their unique chocolates and fillings at his factory so that the quality of the chocolates would never be compromised. The craftsmanship and care required to create each batch of Ethel M Chocolates unchanged. Their gourmet fillings and decadent chocolates are infused with a precise blend of love, art, science, and the result is always something magical.

Ethel M Chocolates’ breathtaking Botanical Cactus Garden is Nevada’s largest and one of the world’s largest collections of its kind. Based on the English landscape model of naturalistic design, the Ethel M Botanical Cactus Garden features four acres of drought-tolerant ornamentals, cacti, and other succulents.
Over 300 species of plants can be found on the grounds. Half are cacti and succulents largely native to the American Southwest, and the rest is desert trees and shrubs from the Southwestern United States, Australia, and South America. All of these plants were chosen both for the beauty of their floral displays and their ability to adapt to the climate of Southern Nevada.
Come visit Ethel M Chocolates at the factory location in Henderson. Take a leisurely stroll through the cactus garden, and view the botanical desert terrain.
Tasting Room Experience
Each Ethel M Chocolate Tasting Experience lasts between 30 and 45 minutes and includes a bit of education on how chocolate is sourced, refined and produced, as well as the subtleties of chocolate tasting and flavor identification.
The Chocolate & Wine Tasting Experience expertly pairs premium chocolates with four hand-picked Trinchero wines. Must be 21 years or older to participate in Wine & Chocolate Tasting.
