About Metallica at Sphere Las Vegas

Metallica at Sphere Las Vegas is heavy metal at full throttle inside a venue built to match it. The Life Burns Faster residency pairs decades of headbanging history, Grammy Awards, and a catalog that rewrote the rules of rock with a wraparound screen and immersive audio that surrounds you.

Sphere is not a typical arena. The screen wraps overhead and around the crowd, and the audio system is designed to deliver clear, powerful sound to every section of the room. For a band known for volume, that is a fitting match.

Across the run, expect seismic classics like Enter Sandman and Master of Puppets alongside deep cuts and newer tracks. Sphere lights up your peripheral vision and turns every drum hit into a full body experience. Loud, legendary, and larger than life fits nicely here.

The shows run in pairs. Each Thursday and Saturday is a No Repeat Weekend, meaning no song is played twice across the two nights. That gives you two different setlists and a real reason to book the whole weekend.

Metallica at Sphere Las Vegas Dates

The residency opened October 1, 2026 and runs through March 13, 2027, with every show on a Thursday or Saturday.

  • October 2026: 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31
  • November 2026: 5, 7
  • January 2027: 28, 30
  • February 2027: 4, 6, 18, 20, 25, 27
  • March 2027: 4, 6, 11, 13

Picking Your Night at Metallica at Sphere Las Vegas

Every Thursday and Saturday is its own show. Because no song repeats across a weekend, there is no “better” night to pick in advance. Go with the one that fits your schedule, and book both if you can. The two-night format also means a friend who saw Thursday will have a completely different story than you did on Saturday.

Why Sphere Changes a Metallica Show

Most metal shows are about the stage in front of you. At Sphere, the screen wraps up and around the crowd, so the visuals reach well past the band. Your seat location changes how much of that fills your view, so check the seat map and view details on your ticket page before you buy. The sound is part of the draw too, with audio designed to reach the whole room, which suits a band that has never been quiet.

Make a Weekend of It

Sphere is connected to The Venetian, which makes the resort a natural home base. You can eat, stay, and walk to the show without a ride. Restaurants inside the property, like Mercato Della Pescheria, make an easy pre-show dinner. Give yourself extra time to walk over, since the crowds before a Sphere show are big.

Know Before You Go

Sphere uses mobile tickets only, so add yours to your phone’s digital wallet before you leave for the show. Doors open 90 minutes before showtime, and with a crowd this size, arriving early keeps you out of the longest security lines. Group rates are not available for this residency.

Pack light on gear. Video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, audio recording devices, and professional cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses are not allowed inside.

There is no age requirement, but Sphere suggests that guests under 18 attend with a parent or guardian, and anyone two or older needs their own ticket. Metallica is loud, and Sphere is built to deliver it, so bring earplugs, especially for younger fans.

Sphere sits behind The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort, which is the only hotel connected to it, so staying there puts you a short walk from the show. Flying in for the weekend? Our guide to Las Vegas taxi flat rates by zone shows what to expect on the ride from the airport.
