XS Nightclub, the sophisticated nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, celebrated its third anniversary with a special set by electronic dance music’s breakout star of the year, Skrillex, on Monday, February 6th.

“The past year has been a monumental experience for XS, as we have launched into major partnerships with electronic music artists,” said Jesse Waits, co-owner and managing partner of XS and Tryst nightclubs.
“As our venue celebrates continued success, we are more than thrilled to host our resident DJ and recent Grammy Award nominee, Skrillex, at this special night in XS history.”

Skrillex stands not only at the vanguard of electronic dance music, but the perpetually evolving new music industry as a whole. He describes his current sound as “a mix of dubstep, electro and glitch all thrown together,” which has garnered major attention from fans and critics alike in the past year.

Most recently, the young DJ made a major breakthrough as the first electronic dance music artist to be nominated as “Best New Artist” at the Grammy Awards. He stacked up the most nods for the genre, adding nominations for “Best Dance Recording,” “Best Dancing/Electronica Album,” “Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical,” and “Best Short form Music Video” to his resume.

Recently named MTV’s No. 1 EDM Artist of 2011, Skrillex has created major club anthems over the last year such as “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” and his remix of Benny Benassi’s “Cinema.” Combined with his unparalleled stage presence, he will be the perfect addition for XS’
special celebration.

Since opening, XS has been continually recognized with awards and accolades including being named the best place to dance by the New York Post to countless local “Best Of” lists. Known as the top grossing nightclub in the country, XS has placed in the number one spot for the Nightclub & Bar Top 100 in both 2010 and 2011, based on annual revenue.

With its chic vibe and fashionable reputation, XS remains the place to see and be seen for celebrities, glitterati, locals and tourists.
