Wyclef Performed at Marquee & Fabolous Performed at TAO

It was a celebrity-filled Saturday night at LAVO, TAO, and Marquee in Las Vegas. At Marquee, Wyclef wowed the crowd with an energetic performance that had him leaping over the DJ booth and showing off his handstand and backward guitar playing skills.

Wyclef performed a selection of hits, plus a cover of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit had the entire club jumping around.

Pamela Anderson was spotted enjoying tomato basil pasta at LAVO with a group of friends while at a nearby table Wilmer Valderrama and Demi Lovato and another couple dined on steaks and pasta.

Fabolous made his way to TAO after watching the UFC fight on TV and stopping to shop at Barneys. He dined at TAO Asian Bistro before heading up to the nightclub where he performed a medley of his hits.

Also spotted dining at TAO were Adrienne Bailon and Tamar Braxton. The pop stars said hello to Fabolous before making their way to the club to catch his performance.

Marcus Cromartie of the San Francisco 49ers checked out TAO Nightclub’s Opium room, while Charles Johnson of the Carolina Panthers was spotted with friends at a VIP table in the main room.

Wyclef

Wyclef Jeanelle Jean is a Haitian rapper, musician, actor, and politician. At age nine, Wyclef moved to the United States with his family and has spent much of his life in the country. He first received fame as a member of the acclaimed New Jersey hip hop group the Fugees. Wyclef won three Grammy Awards for his musical work.

On August 5, 2010, Wyclef filed for candidacy in the 2010 Haitian presidential election, although the Electoral Commission subsequently ruled him ineligible to stand as he had not met the requirement to have been resident in Haiti for five years.

Jean’s efforts at earthquake relief, highly publicized in 2010 throughout Haiti and the United States, were channeled through his charitable organization, Yéle Haiti. The charity, which performed a variety of charitable works in Haiti between 2005 and 2010, effectively closed in 2012 after much controversy. Along with Carlos Santana, Avicii, and Alexandre Pires, were chosen to perform the closing ceremony at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Their single, “Dar Um Jeito” (“We will Find A Way”), the official World Cup anthem was released on April 29, 2014.
