Now, I must admit that I am not a Pokémon Go fan. But since this website is about Las Vegas, I feel it’s my duty to share things about my city. I’m sure many of you are tired of finding the same pokémon while walking around your house. You must be, because I hear all of you at 1am outside my window and I live next to a park. hahahaha

Poke Radar for Pokemon Go

Well, the Poke Radar iPhone app and web based map are to the rescue. If you haven’t completed your collection, the app and map will help you do that. Developers Nick DiVona and Braydon Batungbacal, the brains behind the map, let you go anywhere in the world to search for rare pokémon. What’s really cool is that Poke Radar lets you set a filter, so if you’re looking for a certain type of pokémon, you will only see that type.

Remember though that the Pokémon Go community is the one who inputs the information. This is important because trolls are out there and they like to mess with people. They are known to put rare pokémon everywhere, so keep that in mind. But, there are ways to keep from falling prey to the trolls. For example, you can see who posted the tip in Poke Radar when you tap or click on the pokémon’s icon and whether or not the tip was helpful to other trainers. You can stop looking for that pokémon if you see the same low ratings person posting outrageous tips. Another cool feature is that you can see what time of day a pokémon was caught, so you know when it’s best to search for it.

Now, just like when running Pokémon Go, if you run Poke Radar at the same time, you will drain your battery very fast. Get yourself a portable phone charger, or a battery case to help extend your battery life.

There are two ways to run Poke Radar. You can either go to the iOS store and download the iPhone app, or you can go to your browser and open the map. The developers have said on their facebook page that an Android version is on the way.
