The Artisan Hotel
It opened in 1979 as a Travelodge. In December 2001, the property was purchased and renamed ‘The Artisan’ and overhauled. At that point, the hotel started putting artwork from artists such as Cézanne, Chagall, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Renoir, Van Gogh, and others all over the property.
Even though the property got good reviews and had a loyal clientele, the property faced cash flow and maintenance problems and went into bankruptcy. The property agreed to foreclosure in December 2009. The Siegel Group purchased the property in January 2010 and has been working to correct all outstanding issues. In May 2010, The Artisan started having themed-invite only pool parties.
On June 7, 2010, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick stayed at the hotel to celebrate Scott’s birthday. – Learn More
