Sound Food Group’s second concept, Sticks Tavern, is now open at 203 S. Water Street as the newest addition to Henderson’s Water Street District and just footsteps away from the new Lifeguard Arena, home of the Henderson Silver Knights.
Sticks Tavern
The family-operated sports bar will be the new permanent home for the popular Las Vegas ghost kitchen, To Be Frank, serving its specialty dogs and sides available for takeout and delivery, set to open in the coming weeks.
Culinary Director Jordan Camacho and Executive Chef Trevor Garrett created the Sticks Tavern menu around rotisserie chicken, available in whole, half, or quartered and can be paired with a seasonal selection of rotisserie fat-roasted vegetables and sauces, all made in-house, as well as on specialty sandwiches. The menu also features elevated and satisfying pub fare classics like the signature Sticks Smash, their spin on a cheeseburger served on a locally baked bun, and roasted chicken poutine consisting of house fries topped with cheese curds and roasted chicken gravy. Chicken wings, salads, and other bar snacks at comfortable price points round out the menu.
Led by award-winning mixologist, Tom Alley, the bar program will include a selection of draught, craft, and bottled beers, along with cocktails named for the biggest hockey fans, including WTP (What the Puck?) made with raspberry vodka, peach schnapps, sour, and simple syrup. Alley is known for flair bartending and has been spotted flipping bottles and curating cocktails on the Travel Channel and Food Network to name a few.
The locals-friendly neighborhood sports bar features 15 bar-top gaming machines that house poker, blackjack, slot, and keno games. With two spacious outdoor patio spaces, including one overlooking Water Street, Sticks Tavern provides a relaxed environment to watch any sporting event or socialize with friends and family.
“We chose to open in old Henderson’s Water Street District because we wanted to provide a sports-watching destination for the locals,” said Robin Camacho. “With the Henderson Silver Knights’ new practice arena right across the street, it was a no-brainer for us. We’ve watched downtown Las Vegas grow over the last couple of years to what it is today, so we wanted to be part of the excitement as downtown Henderson is poised to boom in the same way.”
A grand opening celebration is planned for the first weekend in May. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Sunday 11 a.m. to close.
