Owner of the Golden Nugget, Tilman Fertitta, received a special call from friend and fellow Houstonian, Scott J. Kelly, commander of the International Space Station, Expedition 26, New Year’s Eve 2011.
Kelly, who was at the time traveling 17,000 mph over Hawaii, wished everyone in the Golden Nugget’s Rush Lounge a Happy New Year over speakerphone during Frankie Moreno’s set. Above is a photo of Las Vegas sent from space by Kelly.
