Las Vegas Legends Celebrates Induction Into MASL

The Las Vegas Legends celebrated its recent induction into the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) and its return to Orleans Arena today along with team General Manager and President Meir Cohen and MASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken, Orleans Arena executives and returning players.

“We are delighted to be back at Orleans Arena, where our home has been for the last two seasons,” said Cohen. “The Legends have become champions here, and we look forward to winning many more games – this time as an MASL team – on this turf!” he exclaimed.

Darren Davis, Executive Director of the Orleans Arena, added, “We are thrilled the Legends are returning to Orleans Arena, where we have developed a wonderful partnership. We welcome Legends fans, soccer enthusiasts and the entire Las Vegas community to join us in supporting the team towards another victorious season.”

On June 23, the Legends announced they will play the 2014-15 season in the Major Arena Soccer League, a newly formed super league of 23 professional indoor arena soccer teams from across the United States and Mexico. Major Arena Soccer League will play 20 regular season games and the teams will be divided into multiple divisions based on geography. Three teams from each division will make the play-offs.

The MASL season begins in October, with the Legends playing 10 home games on the following dates. Team schedules will be released later next month, along with the play-off format.

Tickets are priced at $9 for children and $20 for adults. Season tickets can be reserved immediately for the Legends’ ten home games. Kids’ season tickets are priced at $70 while adult season tickets cost $120. There are additional options, including Season VIP for $320. To reserve season tickets, visit www.lasvegaslegends.com.

The Legends are currently searching for a new head coach, which will be announced closer to the start of the season. Open tryouts will be held August 25-31 at the Las Vegas Indoor Soccer Complex, located at 1400 N. Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
