Hearthstone, the hotly anticipated dining addition to Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, has opened its doors, bringing The Light Group’s partner and Executive Chef Brian Massie’s cuisine for the first time off the Las Vegas strip with a focus on seasonal ingredients and graceful dishes, all paired with an evolving wine and cocktail list.

The Hearthstone experience is one of comfort and warmth within the vivid decor, and one of softness accompanied by acclaimed Chef Brian Massie’s vibrant food.

Broken up into several intimate areas, the unique space offers a large open format that creates a lighter, brighter setting. Hearthstone, has an industrial, yet lived-in feel featuring vibrant colors, charming custom light features and homey accents with a vintage look. Encompassing 7,330 square feet, the walls made of whitewashed reclaimed brick and hand painted concrete floors accentuate the exposed raw metal of the ceiling.

“The space represents the food, the food represents the space,” said Massie, the Executive Chef of Hearthstone and The Light Group. “It’s like coming home to a really great meal.”

The main bar area and an adjacent charcuterie bar with a smooth white marble finish is the heart of the restaurant. There, foodies can appreciate the detail of each dish created and take notice of the two oversized hearth ovens that cook 90% of the restaurant’s menu. Each wood roasted dish is full of earthy flavors of the pecan and whisky barrel wood used to fuel the fire.

“We’re bringing in this neighborhood feel, very casual, very easy, slightly residential,” said lead designer Alessandro Munge of design and decor firm Munge Lunge. “This shouldn’t be an intimidating space. We want you to feel like someone has welcomed you into their home and their kitchen.

The relaxed lounge area allows patrons to sit in deep-tuft leather seats or the option of playing a game of shuffleboard. The lounge’s raw concrete floors will feature hand painted graphics all of which transition into the main dining room. Hearthstone’s oversized patio, connected to the restaurant via a large operable garage door contains a central fire pit that offers a laid-back setting.

“This is our opportunity to express our love of dining,” said Massie. “This will be great food and great wine in a warm, welcoming environment.”
