It’s the follow-up to New York Times bestseller Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book. Grumpy Cat will glower and pose with her fans for photos that purchase her new book. For those interested in attending, books are available for pre-purchase online at shopkitson.com and will be at the specific location for pick up, with the wrist band, showing purchase of the book, required for entry, beginning at noon the day of the event.

Grumpy Cat’s last appearance at Kitson Santa Monica drew hundreds of attendees, all clamoring to see the world’s grumpiest cat, now an even greater, pop culture luminary. Grumpy Cat will be coming to Las Vegas after the launch of the book tour at Kitson in Santa Monica on August 4th.

The Grumpy Guide to Life: Observations by Grumpy Cat is the alternative to feel-good, positive thinking. Rather, Grumpy Cat brings the advice, maxims and observations that have made her the spirit animal for people everywhere. With sections on family, relationships, nature, and even happiness (admittedly, a very short section), success is just a frown away.

About Grumpy Cat

Grumpy Cat is a small cat with a big frown that became an international sensation. Her first book, Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book spent 10 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. As a bestselling author and demotivational guru, she has 6 million Facebook fans, over 200,000 Twitter followers, and appeared on a variety of TV shows including American Idol, Good Morning America and the MTV Movie Awards. She lives grumpily in Arizona.

Grumpy Cat, real name Tardar Sauce, is a cat and Internet celebrity known for her grumpy facial expression.

Her owner Tabatha Bundesen says that her permanently grumpy-looking face is due to feline dwarfism. Her popularity originated from a picture posted to the social news website Reddit by Bundesen’s brother Bryan on September 22, 2012. It was made into an image macro with grumpy captions. “The Official Grumpy Cat” on Facebook has over 6 million “likes”. She was featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal on May 30, 2013, and on the cover of New York Magazine on October 7, 2013.

The Bundesens say that Tardar Sauce’s face appears grumpy because of feline dwarfism and an under bite. She and her brother Pokey were born to normal parents with “a flat face, bubble eyes, and a short tail”. Tardar Sauce is undersized and has hind legs that “are a bit different”. Ironically, Tardar Sauce is calm and “actually really nice,” whereas Pokey has a grumpy personality.

According to the Bundesens, Tardar Sauce is a normal cat “99% of the time”. Photo sessions are only once a week, and handling by strangers is limited.
