Grand Bazaar Shops Coming to Front Entrance of Bally’s Las Vegas
Some may argue that we don’t need more shopping on the Las Vegas Strip. Be that as it may, a new shopping experience is coming The Strip. The ground has broken on the long anticipated Grand Bazaar Shops. It will be an open-air market similar to the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. The outdoor shopping mecca is coming to life at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip in late 2014.
Grand Bazaar Shops is located at the busiest pedestrian intersection in the city – Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo Road – directly in front of Bally’s, across from the Fountains of Bellagio and surrounded by Flamingo Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas and Caesars Palace – on a site that more than 20 million people walk by each year and 44 million cars will drive by, over half of the city’s annual tourist population.
Designed as a “21st century bazaar,” Grand Bazaar Shops is an immersive retail and dining experience directly on the Strip, that captures the essence of the world’s greatest open-air markets: among them, Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, Jerusalem’s Old Market, London’s Portobello Road, Seattle’s Pike Place Market and Morocco’s Marrakesh Souk.
With more than 150 shops over two acres, along with a breadth of food, dining and bar venues, Grand Bazaar Shops invites travelers and locals alike to discover its many rare and wonderful treasures. Many of its tenants are distinguished by unique features; some will be the first of their kind in Las Vegas, the U.S. or worldwide.
Special attractions include a giant Crystal Starburst that creates a celebratory New Year’s Eve experience every midnight, and an artful, iconic and interactive timepiece right at the front of project.
