Freed’s Bakery Creates One-Of-A-Kind Cakes in New Series “Vegas Cakes”

A local favorite, Freed’s Bakery, a family-owned establishment of 58 years, will reveal its elaborate and unique cakes to the world in Food Network’s 10-episode series “Vegas Cakes,” beginning with two back-to-back episodes premiering at 10 p.m. EST on Sunday, Nov. 5.

The series premiere will feature third-generation owner, Max Fried, and the employees of Freed’s Bakery as they create cake magic for the local Triple-A baseball team, the Las Vegas 51s, and Cirque de Soleil’s production of KA.

“With our sweet creations, we’re thrilled to showcase the excitement, energy, and unique facets that make Las Vegas great in “Vegas Cakes,” said Fried.

Subsequent episodes will feature food-inspired cakes to cakes for Las Vegas legends like Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Newton and Penn and Teller.

“The sinfully sweet masterpieces on Vegas Cakes are works of art,” said Courtney White, Senior Vice President, Programming, Scripps Networks Interactive. “Watching these unique confections take shape is sure to entertain our audience and inspire them to think outside the cakebox.”
