Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa Photos at Mandalay Bay
Last night (Friday, August 7), Mandalay Bay Events Center welcomed Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa for their Boys of Zummer Tour. The famous rapper, songwriter and actor entertained an energetic crowd with popular hits such as “See You Again,” “Young, Wild & Free” and “Black And Yellow” before the American pop punk and alternative rock band took the stage performing famous songs like “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” “Centuries” and “Uma Thurman.”
Coming soon, Live Nation will present more exciting concerts in 2015 including Kelly Clarkson with special guest Pentatonix (Aug. 15), Marc Anthony and Carlos Vives (Sept. 14), Pitbull (Sept. 23 – Oct. 7), the final Las Vegas performance of Mötley Crüe (Dec. 27) and Maroon 5 (Dec. 30 & 31). About Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The band originated from Chicago’s hardcore punk scene, with which Wentz was heavily involved. The group was formed by Wentz and Trohman as a pop punk side project of their respective hardcore bands, and Stump joined shortly thereafter. The group went through a succession of drummers before landing Hurley and recording their debut album, Take This to Your Grave (2003), which became an underground success and helped the band gain a dedicated fanbase through heavy touring, as well as some moderate commercial success.
With Wentz as Fall Out Boy’s lyricist and Stump as the primary composer, the band’s 2005 major-label breakthrough, From Under the Cork Tree, produced two hit singles, “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” and “Dance, Dance,” and went double platinum, transforming the group into superstars and making Wentz a celebrity and tabloid fixture. Fall Out Boy received a Best New Artist nomination at the 2006 Grammy Awards. Their 2007 follow-up, Infinity on High, landed at number one on the Billboard 200 with 260,000 first week sales. It produced two worldwide hit singles, “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race” and “Thnks fr th Mmrs.” Folie à Deux, the band’s fourth album, created a mixed response from fans and commercially undersold expectations. Following the release of Believers Never Die – Greatest Hits, Fall Out Boy took a hiatus from 2009 to 2012 to “decompress,” exploring various side projects. Fall Out Boy regrouped and recorded Save Rock and Roll (2013), which gave the band their second career number one and produced the triple platinum top 20 single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up).” Their sixth studio album, American Beauty/American Psycho (2015), released worldwide on Island Records, was preceded by the 3x Platinum top 10 hit “Centuries.” The album peaked at No. 1, making it the group’s third No. 1 album.

About Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, songwriter and actor. He released his debut album, Show and Prove, in 2006, and signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007. His Eurodance-influenced single, “Say Yeah”, received urban radio airplay, charting on the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Tracks charts in 2008.
Khalifa parted with Warner Bros. and released his second album, Deal or No Deal, in November 2009. He released the mixtape Kush and Orange Juice as a free download in April 2010; he then signed with Atlantic Records. He is also well known for his debut single for Atlantic, “Black and Yellow”, which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut album for the label, Rolling Papers, was released on March 29, 2011. He followed that album with O.N.I.F.C. on December 4, 2012 which was backed by the singles “Work Hard, Play Hard” and “Remember You”. Wiz released his fourth album Blacc Hollywood on August 18, 2014 backed by the lead single We Dem Boyz.
