The display is located in front of The Joint entrance and will remain there through 2018. Boyd’s art display coincides with Incubus’ limited engagement at The Joint on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3 and returning on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31.
About Brandon Boyd
Brandon Boyd’s work as a singer, songwriter, both as a solo artist and with his platinum-selling rock band, is well documented and universally acclaimed. But now his other life’s work — that of a painter — has been garnering increasing attention and devoted audiences of its own.
In his painting and drawings, Brandon Boyd reveals a personal, freeform, ambiguous kind of visual style that focuses on magic, serendipity, curiosity, and mystery. Describing his art-making process as a kind of “blissful, familiar trance,” Boyd’s works carry both the evidence of the beautiful chaos and the power of revealing the narratives inside of it. His images are constructed by chance through colorful ink spills and the contents of his own travel journals.
After postponing their limited engagement in October 2017 following the 1 October tragedy, Incubus will perform at The Joint on Friday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 3 and return on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31.
Tickets to Incubus start at $50.50 (plus applicable service fees) and are on sale now at the Hard Rock Hotel box office, by calling 888.9.AXS.TIX or online at www.axs.com.
