2014 Academy of Country Music / ACM Awards at MGM Grand
Just about every country music start imaginable was in Las Vegas for the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, better known as the ACM Awards.
If you wanted to see a great show, you found it at the ACM Awards inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The best country music stars came together for a unique show that you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Not only were the best musicians of the year honored, but the country music fans were given a great concert experience. The ACM Awards is a staple of the country music scene.

- Album of the Year: Kacey Musgraves, “Sam Trailer Different Park”
- Vocal Group of the Year: The Band Perry
- Male Vocalist of the Year: Jason Aldean
- Female Vocalist of the Year: Miranda Lambert
- Vocal Duo of the Year: Florida Georgia Line
- New Artist of the Year: Justin Moore
- Single Record of the Year: Miranda Lambert, “Mama’s Broken Heart”
- Song of the Year: “I Drive Your Truck,” Lee Brice; songwriters: Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington, Jimmy Yeary
- Video of the Year: “Highway Don’t Care,” Tim McGraw featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban
- Vocal event of the Year: Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert, “We Were Us”

About Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards
The Academy of Country Music Awards were first held in 1966, honoring the industry’s accomplishments during the previous year. It was the first country music awards program held by a major organization. The Academy’s signature “hat” trophy was created in 1968. The awards were first televised in 1972 on ABC. In 1979, the Academy joined with Dick Clark Productions to produce the show.Dick Clark and Al Schwartz served as producers while Gene Weed served as director. Under their guidance, the show moved to NBCand finally to CBS, where it remains today.
In 2003, the awards show left Los Angeles and moved to Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The show is now held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. – Wikipedia
