Well, given the fact that we have stayed at The Beach House in Hermosa Beach, CA twice now, we figured it was time to do a review.
The first time we stayed at the beach house was December 21, 2012. If that date sounds familiar to you, you’re right, it was the end of the Mayan calendar and maybe THE END OF THE WORLD. 🙂 Hey, if the world was going to end, we couldn’t think of any better way to go out than being in our favorite little beach town, Hermosa Beach.
Obviously, the world didn’t end, which is pretty awesome if you ask me. Because now, we get to tell you all about The Beach House in Hermosa Beach. What makes the Beach House so awesome in our opinion are three things.
When you visit The Beach House, you feel like you’re in your home away from home, not just a hotel room. For instance, the water pressure in the shower is outstanding. Some may not find that a plus, but a shower that just trickles out water is not an enjoyable experience.
Another way the Beach House in Hermosa Beach feels like a home away from home is the continental breakfast they serve in the morning. You can either eat inside or outside. We prefer outside. What’s the point of staying right on the beach if you’re not going to enjoy it in every way possible.
Another great place to have breakfast in Hermosa Beach is Martha’s 22nd Street Grill, which is just a short walk north of The Beach House in Hermosa Beach. The food is fantastic, the service is attentive, and of course, being that the restaurant is 1/2 a block from the sand means the view is incredible. Sometimes you’ll have to put your name on a list, but the wait is definitely worth it. Do you want to go where the locals go? Well, this is definitely that spot.
If you’re looking for a wonderful place to stay while in the Los Angeles area, the Beach House in Hermosa Beach is an excellent choice.
