Almost two decades after their formation, Yellowcard’s unmistakable sound will once again fill Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas this fall. The band is approaching the end of an amazing run, that also included a visit to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas in Nov., 2015.

“When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news,” said Yellowcard in a unified statement. “After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour.”

With this, Yellowcard have announced that the band will be releasing their final self-titled album on Sept. 30, 2016 and embark on “The Final World Tour,” kicking off on Oct. 6 in San Antonio, Tex. “We wanted to have the chance to share our farewell with as many fans around the world as we could, and now is the right time to do just that,” the band stated.

Well-known for their hit singles “Ocean Avenue,” “Only One” and “Lights and Sounds,” Yellowcard have been performing since their 1997 formation in Jacksonville, Fla. The current lineup of Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez and Josh Portman redefined the pop punk sound, prominently featuring a violin throughout the band’s nearly 20-year run.

Yellowcard will have support at their Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas show from Like Torches, an alternative rock and punk band out of Stockholm Sweden. The quintet of Jonathan Kärn (vocals), Daniel Kärn (vocals and guitars) Zakarias Faleij (bass), Lars Erik Thyr (guitars) and Jimmy Brunkvist (drums) will present their electric live show, playing songs like their hit single “Skeletons.” New Jersey indie rock outfit Dryjacket will open the show.

Doors for Yellowcard at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas open at 7 p.m. This show is for all ages. Tickets start at $27 (plus applicable service fees) and are on sale to the public on Wednesday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at the Brooklyn Bowl box office or by calling 877.987.6487.
