The weekly event unites local businesses to transform the area into a festive block party featuring a Food Truck Village, Painters Lounge, the “World’s Greatest Happy Hour by Coors,” Silent Disco and more, from 6 p.m. to midnight. The fall series of Wednesdays Downtown will run through the end of October.

Produced by Relish and DTLV.com, Wednesdays Downtown will occupy Fremont Street, between Las Vegas Boulevard and 7th Street. “Locals are the fuel that energize Downtown Las Vegas,” says Jolene Mannina, owner of Relish. “This event is something that brings everyone together, from industry professionals to entrepreneurs, through one great block party.”

The Food Truck Village, located directly west of Park on Fremont, will feature a celebrity food truck each week. Chef John Courtney and Chef Nicole Brisson, the executive chef at Carne Vino, will headline on Oct. 8. Foodie fans can also choose from a line-up of favorites including Dragon Grill, Truk-U-BBQ, Can’t Dutch This, The Hummus Factory, and Slidin’ Thru. Tiabi Coffee & Waffles will be serving their signature pumpkin waffles.

At 9:30 p.m. spectators will enjoy the Downtown Dirty Bar Fight sponsored by Death’s Door Spirits. During the competition, bartenders will battle for an ultimate grand prize, a trip to Death’s Door Distillery in Washington Island, Wisconsin.

The “World’s Greatest Happy Hour by Coors” will be a culmination of happy hour offers at Fremont East restaurants and bars, including Commonwealth, Park on Fremont, The Griffin, Beauty Bar, Triple B, Le Thai, Inspire, Wayfarer, The Beat, Insert Coins, El Cortez, La Comida, and Vanguard. Each bar will offer ambitious drink specials and entertainment, including live performances and DJs.

The Painters Lounge, located at Fremont Street and 6th Street, will be a guided painting class for participants of all skill levels. The class, priced at $20 per person, will inspire creativity and all aspiring artists will go home with a unique masterpiece. To secure a reservation, interested participants can visit http://www.iloveintuition.com/painters-lounge. Walk-up registration will be accepted, pending availability.
