Created exclusively for The Golden Tiki’s cabinet of curiosities by Smithsonian artist Terry Barr, the head was sculpted over the course of four weeks, referencing photos of Neil to ensure physical accuracies, including his long blonde hair and signature dark sunglasses.

Before introducing Neil, Tony Felicetta of local jazz band The Sharps and Tana the Tattooed Lady, Miss Tiki Oasis 2013, praised the singer for his wild career accomplishments and charitable contributions.

“To the man whose voice launched a thousand and more tits, we salute you,” said Tana. “You taught us how to ‘Shout to the Devil’ and all about ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’ We’re excited to honor the man, the myth, the legend in our shrunken head collection.”

“We all are familiar with the legacy of Vince Neil and Mötley Crüe,” continued Felicetta. “This man has sold out shows around the world and is also a successful businessman. Additionally, he appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2017 and raised $750,000 for charity. We’re honored to host him here tonight.”

Neil thanked The Golden Tiki for the recognition, adding, “The Golden Tiki is an awesome place to hang out in Las Vegas and to be able to have my head with a bunch of other shrunken-headed Las Vegas guys is very, very cool. I really love this. My head blows away all the other heads up there!” Before posing for photos with fans, he took out his ponytail and shook out his long hair so he resembled his shrunken head.

Neil joins the bar’s growing collection of famous shrunken heads, including Marky Ramone of The Ramones, Carrot Top, Frank Marino, Robin Leach, Norm Clarke, Claire Sinclair, magician Murray Sawchuck, Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie, Monti Rock III, Lonnie Hammargren, Rich Little, Piff the Magic Dragon, Tape Face, Chris Kael of Five Finger Death Punch and The Gazillionaire from Absinthe.
