La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas will seduce taste buds with a Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu inspired from cities around the world on Friday, February 14th.

Priced at $49 per person, the restaurant will offer a five-course menu with optional wine pairings for an additional $25 per person. Each course is served to share and create a romantic dinner for two. To begin the city-inspired culinary experience, guests will enjoy a taste of Napa Valley, Calif., with poached salmon drizzled in a mayonnaise-based egg and caper parsley dressing; a puff pastry filled with sautéed mushroom and fontina cheese; and sliced tuna garnished with a zest of lemon and slices of avocado paired with a 2012 Gary Farrell, Chardonnay from Russian River Valley, Calif.

Travelers of love will enjoy the San Francisco-inspired course including a vegetable salad with tomato, fennel and roasted squash topped with cider dressing and a delicious cheese plate with truffle tremor goat cheese and pear. This course will be paired with a 2012 Massican, Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley. The next dish from Rome will make diners fall eternally in love with crispy calamari accompanied by sautéed arugula and spicy tomato; a cheese dish with roasted peppers, olives and Boursin; and lamb osso bucco topped with a Greek olive sauce and a slice of Naan bread and is paired with a 2008 Sangiovese, Chianti Classico from Rodano in Tuscany, Italy.

For the main course, adventurers will visit the cuisine of New York with roasted potatoes, Piquillo peppers and thyme all sautéed together to create a flavor-filled vegetable dish. Couples will fall in love with the beef filet with petite artichoke ravioli topped with a delicious red wine sauce as well as the jumbo prawns with chilies and a roasted garlic marinade paired with a 2007 Tempranillo from Finca Allende in Rioja, Spain. For dessert, couples will travel to the “City of Love” with the Parisian chocolate truffles, beignets and a berry crepe.

The Morton Group, led by Michael and Jenna Morton, opened La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway in 2010 as a venue designed for the exploration of wine, complemented with delectable dishes. La Cave has been recognized as “one of the things Vegas needs more of” by Haute Living Magazine. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant serves American cuisine fused with global flavors in small-plate portions created by Morton Group’s executive chef, William “Billy” DeMarco.
