The emerging boba tea café is the latest exciting addition to the $400 million, 40-acre mixed-use community.

“The founders behind Teaspoon have created something really special,” said Matter Real Estate Group Partner Jim Stuart. “They have reimagined boba and have created their own community of tea lovers. We’re thrilled to introduce this incredible concept to Las Vegas as part of the curated offerings at UnCommons.”

Teaspoon, with the philosophy that happiness can come from a cup of favorite tea, opened its first café in 2015. Since then, the company has expanded to more than 20 locations on the West Coast. With the exciting addition of Teaspoon at UnCommons, community members will be able to meet for a handcrafted tea alongside a variety of food and beverage offerings in one walkable destination.

Founded in the Bay Area, Teaspoon has served more than five million drinks in 20 communities and counting. “We are excited to bring the first Teaspoon to Nevada at UnCommons,” said Amy Lai, co-founder of Teaspoon. “We look forward to being a place where friends and neighbors will come together over our delicious tea.”

Teaspoon’s specialty drinks have captured national attention and the Las Vegas outpost will feature favorites like the Creamy Jasmine crafted with sweet jasmine green tea infused with cream; the Ladybug made with passionfruit jade green tea and real kumquat juice; the Liquid Gold featuring handcrafted honey oolong tea and topped with cream, and many more.

Teas can be customized by adding boba cooked with Teaspoon’s signature honey boba process, pudding, or jelly, all of which are available in a variety of flavors. Catering to a mix of palates and dietary restrictions, Teaspoon’s beverages are able to be made with organic whole milk or oat milk, plus crafted with less sugar if desired. Beyond its selection of flavorful teas, Teaspoon offers freshly-baked pastries ranging from mochi donuts to macarons.

Teaspoon joins UnCommons’ remarkable roster of trendsetting food and beverage destinations including Las Vegas’ first neighborhood food hall that will house 20 chef-driven concepts, Las Vegas’ first neighborhood Urth Caffé and MINA Group’s first off-Strip, fast-casual restaurant.

With an unmatched focus on community, an inspired open-air courtyard, and adjacent contemporary residential units, UnCommons will provide the Las Vegas market with a development that instills an authentic sense of place. The 40-acre urban campus developed by Matter Real Estate Group will feature captivating architectural design by globally-renowned Gensler and thoughtful amenities such as a food hall with chef-crafted cuisine, fitness studios, an entertainment venue, and more, establishing itself as a destination where work and life come together in harmony.

Committing to the health and safety of those occupying its spaces, the development underwent a redesign after the COVID-19 outbreak last year to create a post-pandemic community, attracting discerning companies CBRE and Morgan Stanley, with more to be announced soon.

UnCommons will reimagine the workplace experience with market-leading design and technology, floor-to-ceiling windows that welcome daylight and views of the natural Las Vegas surroundings, breakout spaces for individual work or small group collaboration, a conference center that can be used to host small meetings and workshops, and more. Bringing together multiple fitness studios, open-air common areas, contemporary residential units, and a mélange of food and beverage options, the campus will set the foundation for a thriving, inspiring workplace. Future phases will bring UnCommons to more than 500,000 square feet of modern office space, all built with distinctive architectural features and the latest in safety innovations.
