Morton Group’s La Comida, located in Downtown Las Vegas at 100 S. Sixth St., will bring Ireland and Mexico together for St. Patrick’s Day with an Irish fiesta hosted by “funologist,” Johnny “Juan” O’Donnell.

Special dishes, prepared by Executive Chef Mario Garcia, will be available from Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17, and will include braised lamb tamales, made with lamb shoulder, braised cabbage, tomatillo and cilantro rice, priced at $16; and corned beef and cabbage tacos, made with shredded corned beef, pickled cabbage and salsa fresca, priced at $12.

O’Donnell, an Ireland native, will kick the party off at noon on Sunday, March 17, with festive décor and drink specials including green draft beer, priced at $3 and shots of Jameson, priced at $5. Exclusive festive St. Patrick’s Day drinks will also be available, including the Shamrockin’ Rita, made with Milagro silver tequila, Midori Melon Liquor, Peach Schnapps, topped off with lime and pineapple juice, priced at $12; and the Suerte Shot, layered with energy drink, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Peach Schnapps, priced at $7.
