Now, I must admit, I’ve never been to Drai’s Beachclub before. But, when I heard that they also have a Drai’s Cafe at the same venue, my inner foodie told me I had to check this place out.

But wait, I may be getting ahead of myself. You may not even know what or where Drai’s Beachclub is. Well, it’s the pool/nightclub on the rooftop of The Cromwell Hotel. For you old school Vegas visitor, The Cromwell is where the Barbary Coast used to be. There’s a bit of nostalgia for me whenever I enter The Cromwell, having fond memories of visiting Barbary as a kid with my dad, but I digress. If you’re curious about what it looks like now, check out the photo I took below.

Besides the food, which we’ll get to, one of THE best features about Drai’s Cafe is the view. You’re on the roof of a hotel right at the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. You can see the Bellagio Fountains, Caesars Palace, and all the way down the Las Vegas Strip. Plus, it’s at a pool, so there are plenty of beautiful people walking around in swimwear. So, no matter where you look, there’s a good view.

As a side note, here’s a tip for you. When requesting a table or making a reservation, ask for table number 3. It’s at the far corner of the venue and has the best view of the Las Vegas Strip looking one way and of beautiful people looking the other way.

So, what did we have to eat you ask? Let’s see, Drai’s Chicken Wings, Watermelon Salad, Kobe Sliders, Smoked Salmon Flatbread, and a couple of sushi rolls not on the menu. One was a Spicy Tuna roll and the other was a Poke Roll. They currently only have one roll on the menu, but will make rolls if you ask. The chef said they are looking to have more rolls on the menu in the future.

My take on Drai’s Cafe is that it’s a must-go. As I said, the food was great, as was the view and the vibe. If you want to have your lunch in a nice relaxing setting, with some cool music, I would suggest going Monday – Thursday. If you’re looking for a full party vibe, then you should definitely go on the weekend. For me, Tuesday or Wednesday is ideal.
