About Rainbow Kitten Surprise

Refusing to be bound to just one genre, Rainbow Kitten Surprise is known for its mesmerizing harmonies, dynamic composition, and thoughtful lyrics that draw influences from musicians across several genres including Modest Mouse, Frank Ocean, and Schoolboy Q.

Originally a duo, the band later expanded to a group of five, releasing their first EP, “Seven + Mary” in 2013 and their debut, self-titled album “RKS” in 2015 before making their grand debut on Elektra Records with “How To: Friend, Love, Freefall” in 2018. The album quickly gained commercial success with over half a billion streams eventually leading to their sold-out Friend, Love Freefall tour earmarked by packed performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and three consecutive gigs in Athens, Georgia. The band has also made several television appearances in addition to playing some of the world’s largest music festivals including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
