Chromeo kicked off the festive weekend with an explosive Friday night performance. Playing their funk, disco and soul hits, the “Creature Feature” themed partygoers danced to the duo’s well-known club hits including “Needy Girl” and “Over Your Shoulder.” Keeping the Halloween spirit alive on Saturday, Holy House with Taiki Nulight hit the stage at 10 p.m., and the DJ’s trademark EDM sound got the crowd pumped for “Matrix” night. Ending the weekend with a bang, VNSSA+ HONEYLUVwere the queens of the “Disco Zombie Prom” on Halloween night as they played back-to-back sets into the early hours of the morning.

About Chromeo:

Chromeo is a Canadian electro-funk duo from Montreal, formed in 2002 by musicians David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel. Their sound draws from blue-eyed soul, dance music, rock, synth-pop, disco, and funk.

About DISCOPUSSY:

DISCOPUSSY is a 6,500-square-foot after-hours dance haven that brings mainline house and techno to Fremont East. The centerpiece of DISCOPUSSY is a custom-built disco-octopus, made from more than 10,000 laser cut components illuminated by more than 5,000 individually addressable light-emitting diodes. Created by Keegan Olton in collaboration with Future TBD and Building 180, the tentacles present a colorful, visual light experience set to immersive sound presented by a VOID Acoustics sound system. Creative lighting scatters the venue, investigating geometric exploration through light, shadow, and perception. Much of the interior space is blanketed in art by local abstract, freestyle, and pop street artist, Pretty Done – whose work even covers an entire bathroom with black and white freestyle drawings. DISCOPUSSY is open 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday – Saturday, and 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday. More information is available on their website and by calling 702-754-1225.
